Summary: Alapacis is designed not to collect personal data. Your files stay on your devices. We have no user database. The only third-party service that processes personal data is Stripe, for payments.

2. Data collected by the website (alapacis.app)

The website does not collect personal data directly. In particular:

We do not use Google Analytics or any other traffic analysis tools.
We do not store tracking or profiling cookies (see Cookie Policy).
The web server (Caddy) access logs anonymise IP addresses by replacing the last digits with zeros before writing to disk.
When you click Download, we record only the date (dd/mm/yyyy) and platform (Windows / Android), without associating them with any user.

3. Data collected during purchase (Stripe)

Payment is handled on the Stripe platform (buy.stripe.com). Stripe collects email, card details and other data required for the transaction, pursuant to its own Privacy Policy and in compliance with GDPR (DPA signed with Stripe).

At the end of payment, Stripe sends us only an anonymous session ID (e.g. cs_live_abc123…). The licence key is derived from this ID via HMAC-SHA256. We do not receive or store the buyer's email, card data, name or address.

4. Data processed by the Alapacis application (on your device)

The Alapacis app runs entirely on your devices (Windows PC, Android smartphone). Your files — photos, videos, audio — are never uploaded to external servers. Sync happens only on your local WiFi network, encrypted with TLS.

The app stores a local database (SQLite) with file metadata: name, size, path, GPS coordinates extracted from EXIF, and tags and descriptions that you enter. This data never leaves your devices.

5. Google Fonts

The website pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This request transmits your IP address to Google. For details see Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Since we do not store identifiable personal data, it is not possible to exercise rights of access, rectification or erasure over data that does not exist in our systems. For any queries write to [email protected].

For data processed by Stripe you can contact Stripe directly at the address indicated in their privacy policy.
